Hi. I’ve just intalled the footer-widget code, but the footer content is displaying one on top of the other, not side-by-side, like your footer. The custom.css code is installed, and I have double-checked it a few times, even uninstalling and rerinstalling it, but the footer content is still displaying wrong. The Thesis theme I’m using is Thesis 1.8beta for developers. Any suggestions?

Try changing the hook from

add_action(‘thesis_hook_footer’,'widgetized_footer’);

add_action(‘thesis_hook_after_header’,'widgetized_footer’);

add_action(‘thesis_before_content_box’,'widgetized_footer’);

Hey everyone, I moved my blog from blogger to WP and an using the Fat Footer, and have used it on other sites.

Just one note, to center the widgets for the width change this code.

/* footer widget area setup */
#footer_setup {
/* widgetized footer background (not footer background) */
background: #EEEEEE;
/* widget padding */
padding: 16px;

Change padding to 0px or under 5px

And

/* widget item setup */
#footer_setup .footer_items {
/* contents alignment */
text-align: left;
/* widget width */
width: 210px;

Change to width:32%;

Mike it really makes a difference, you may want to update the code in the post after you investigate the changes.

But for sure thanks for your hard work with the code.
