I’ve been learning Thesis over the last few days and it’s been quite a struggle. I find your posts to be some of the best ones on the web. Sorry it’s taken me so long to thank you for such a quick reply; it
seems that when designing a site it’s one problem to the next, but
that worked like a charm! Right now I’m having a really tough time
getting java scripts to work on my page; every time I try to include
any java scripts in my header the entire site goes awry! Here are the
header scripts I’m trying to include:

for the menu:

for the tabbed slider:

window.onload=function(){
example4();
}

The window.onload really seems to give my site problems especially.
Any thoughts? I definitely owe you some link love for the help
earlier, I hope I’m not being a pain in the neck!

The code used depends on whether your front page is a blog or a static front page:

1. Use is_home() if your front page is a blog:

function test_code() {
if (is_home()) {
?>
…your HTML code here…
< ?php
}
}
add_action('thesis_hook_before_html','test_code');

2. Use is_front_page() if the front page is a static page (you can also use this for the home page as well, as described in the article):

function test_code() {
if (is_front_page()) {
?>
…your HTML code here…
}
}
add_action(‘thesis_hook_before_html’,'test_code’);
