pls help me in puting the favicon.ico in my website….where can i fingd the root directory in my domain…i already paste the code on the index.php..but yet it is not working…so pls. help me…..

i already generated the picture int he dynamic drive.com
my problem is where can i upload the favicon.ico?where can i fine the root director in my domain..?????????????? and i already paste the code in the index.php..
but yet it is not working????????????pls help me….

yes that is normal — especially firefox gets around to it when it is ready

I uploaded the favicon to my root file in the www folder and put the following into my header scripts box in thesis options:

Didn’t show up for a while but it just appears when it’s good and ready. I gather that’s normal though.

Include this in the head script found under thesis options > header SCRIPT:

Hi Mike,

Thanks for posting these instructions. I think the problem I am having is posting favicon.ico on my root directory. I’m using Host Gator cPanel and have put it in:
1. /home/usr
2. /public_html
3. /public_html/wp-content/themes/thesis_16/favicon.ico

but no matter what I try it’s not working. FYI, I have added to my Thesis header.

Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
